Special Guests

Kyle Vincent will serve as the emcee of the Columbus Celebrating Compassion Gala. Singer/songwriter, 24-year vegetarian and 16-year vegan, Kyle Vincent began his music career in California, at the age of 8, playing alto saxophone in Berkeley school jazz bands. At age 11 he appeared on stage with Donald Byrd, taking turns improvising with the legendary trumpeter. He studied voice with master vocal coach and renowned opera singer, Claudine Spindt, and took bass lessons from legendary guitarist Joe Satriani.

Influenced by the soft-pop storytellers of his youth - John Denver, Cat Stevens and Jim Croce - Kyle uses his talents to spread the message of compassion, peace and environmentalism to audiences around the world. He arrived on the scene in 1997 with his Billboard Top 20 single, "Wake Me Up (When the World's Worth Waking Up For)" and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in music over the years, including Barry Manilow, who calls him, "One of the best singer-songwriters to come along since the heyday of Tin Pan Alley."

Kyle's gig as Master of Ceremonies for the Columbus Compassion Gala comes right on the heels of his concert tour of Japan to promote his latest CD release, Where You Are.
